Liverpool will aim to bounce back from their shock Premier League defeat at home to Nottingham Forest when they take on old European foes AC Milan on Tuesday.
The Reds are back in the Champions League after the absence of a season and begin the revamped first stage with a match at the team they faced in the finals of 2005 and 2007.
Slot's squad were at the AXA Training Centre on Monday to continue their preparations for the match before jetting out to Italy for the showdown at the San Siro - only their second game against Milan at the venue.

But what could be gleaned from the session?

Federico Chiesa was Liverpool's only senior summer signing for the season but still continues to wait for a first appearance for his new club.
Indeed, the Italy international hasn't played a minute since his country's Euro 2024 round of 16 loss to Switzerland back in June, and was again in the stands on Saturday.
However, the striker has been building up his fitness at the AXA Training Centre and was again part of the group on Monday afternoon.
With extra places on the bench in the Champions League, Chiesa is likely to be among the substitutes at the San Siro.

Elliott absence
Liverpool's players suffered a few bumps and bruises during the defeat to Forest, not least Alexis Mac Allister who was caught three times by lumbering visiting skipper Ryan Yates.
Mac Allister also suffered with an adductor issue during international duty with Argentina last week, but was moving freely during the session here.
?
With Curtis Jones similarly featuring, it meant Harvey Elliott was the only notable absentee from Slot's senior squad.

Duo still waiting
?
Given Slot has made only one change to the starting line-up during the opening four Premier League games of the season, not everyone has yet been given the opportunity of action.
Chief among those is Joe Gomez, who has been on the bench the last three matches but has yet to emerge, while Tyler Morton hasn't featured so far in a matchday squad.
Both, though, were again involved in training and will be among the travelling party for the Champions League opener.

Youngsters absent
Last season, the Europa League offered an opportunity for a host of Academy players, both in training sessions and games.
None, though, were involved with the first team here, including 17-year-old midfielder Trey Nyoni who made a strong impression on Slot during pre-season.

Instead, as the seniors held their session, the under-21s were on the other side of the AXA Training Centre preparing for their UEFA Youth League opener against AC Milan tomorrow afternoon.
