Liverpool have two players in the Men’s EA Sports FC Team of the Year.

Released annually, the Team of the Year builds a squad of the best-performing players in the world over the past 12 months.

Fans of the EA Sports FC 25 video game participate annually in global voting to select the Team of the Year.

This year’s voting marked a significant change, with separate male and female teams announced.

Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah were voted among the best eleven players in each position.

Interestingly, this is the first time Salah has been included in EA Sports FC’s team of the year.

The Egyptian has been one of the best player in the world since his move to Liverpool?

He finished third for the Best FIFA Men’s Player in 2018 and 2021, and finished fifth in the 2019, but still missed on on the EA Sports FC team of the year.

Meanwhile, this is the third year in a row Liverpool captain Van Dijk has been included for the EA Sports FC Team of the Year.

The men’s Team of the Year is comprised of: Emiliano Martínez; William Saliba, Virgil van Dijk, Grimaldo, Dani Carvajal; Rodri, Cole Palmer, Jude Bellingham; Mohamed Salah, Vinicius, and Kylian Mbappé.

In addition, the women’s Team of the Year includes: Ann-Katrin Berger; Lucy Bronze, Wendie Renard, Sakina Karchaoui, Irene Paredes; Alexia Putellas, Guro Reiten, Aitana Bonmatí; Caroline Graham Hansen, Lauren James, and Sophia Smith.

Meanwhile, Salah and Van Dijk alongside Alisson Becker are three Liverpool players in the EA Sport’s top 20.
