Boss Arne Slot has overseen a perfect seven wins over seven Champions League ties since taking up their helm.
Ending the league phase in first place will not bank Liverpool any extra prize money, though, but their Champions League victory over Lille did earn the Reds millions.
From that Liverpool earned themselves an equal share of €18.6m (£15.7m) of the €670m (£566.3m) set aside just for those to qualify.
But Liverpool’s results through the league phase of the 24/25 Champions League have even earned the Merseyside natives further millions in prize money, and further millions are still on the cards.
Their win against Lille this Tuesday night, meanwhile, earned Liverpool €2m (£1.7m) for finishing the league phase in the top eight, rather than €1m (£845k) for those who finish in ninth to 16th place.
So, Liverpool’s prize money for seven wins and their reward just for qualifying for the 24/25 Champions League has seen the Reds earn €35.3m (£29.8m) and counting over the league phase.
The Anfield squad have also earned €11m (£9.3m) for qualifying for the round of 16.
The €11m (£9.3m) that Liverpool earned in prize money for qualifying for the round of 16 is only a base sum that the Merseyside club could bank in the knockout stages of the 2024/25 Champions League, however.
Then should the Reds reach the semi-finals, the sum will increase further to €15m (£12.7m) and then to €18.5m (£15.6m) for the clubs who play in the final on May 31.

Winning the 2024/25 Champions League – which could be the seventh in Liverpool’s trophy cabinet – also returns a further €6.5m (£5.5m) in prize money, too.
So, Liverpool could earn up to €62.4m (£52.7m) if they can win the 24/25 Champions League and also go unbeaten.
Even if they lose their final league phase tie at PSV, Liverpool could earn €60.3m (£50.9m) if they then go on to win the 24/25 Champions League.
