Liverpool supporters have been rejoicing this weekend after the future of Mohamed Salah was finally confirmed.
After almost a full season of worry that Salah was going to depart, the Egyptian signed a new, two-year contract Friday.
But while Liverpool fans can look forward to two more years of Salah and – hopefully – Virgil van Dijk, Manchester City supporters were busy coming to terms with their own legend leaving this summer.
Kevin De Bruyne will leave City after 10 years of stellar service.
I’ve no idea, we’ll see.”
With De Bruyne famously a boyhood Liverpool supporter, fans have urged the Reds to pull off what would be a sensational transfer coup.

Given his allegiance to City, it had perhaps been expected that De Bruyne would leave the Premier League this summer.
However, his latest comments clearly suggest that may not be the case.
And as Liverpool prepare to build on what looks like being a championship winning campaign, supporters on X think De Bruyne could now be the perfect addition for Arne Slot.

“I’d love him to sign for LFC still has a lot left to give,” says one fan, with another saying “I’d rip that 8 off Szoboszlai’s back for a year and I’ll not hear an argument otherwise.”
“I’d still take KDB on a one year deal,” agreed one more supporter.
What a player.”

“Hear me out….
“I am not absolutely joking when I say Liverpool should sign Kevin de Bruyne and play him as a deep lying playmaker if Trent Alexander Arnold leaves,” they say.
“Judging from how little Trent does in defence but very good going forward and in midfield creativity, I am signing KDB on a season’s rolling contract, to be our right back,” another argued.
“Salah deserves a KDB in his team.
Get it done,” was one fan’s verdict, with some also likening De Bruyne joining Liverpool to Luis Suarez’s successful move from Barcelona to Atletico Madrid in 2019.
If De Bruyne is to join another Premier League team, then Liverpool would surely have to be the front-runners.
