Trent Alexander-Arnold has found himself on the receiving end of fresh anger from Liverpool supporters after Virgil van Dijk signed a new contract.
Van Dijk has followed in Mohamed Salah’s footsteps by signing a fresh two-year deal with the Reds.
The Liverpool captain, 33, had made it clear that he wanted to stay put on Merseyside and has now put pen to paper to prove his commitment.
UFC star and Reds fan Paddy Pimblett summed up the thoughts of many with his blunt comments last week.

“He is just leaving the club he supported to be another cog in the machine at Real Madrid,” Pimblett said.
But for many it seems as though the writing is on the wall, with Salah and Van Dijk now signed up to big-money deals.
“Trent is looking absolutely awful now.
Another wrote: “Trent really wants to leave his boyhood club for a squad with no chemistry and inflated egos.”
