Robbie Fowler believes Liverpool supporters will "love" Curtis Jones for his reaction during the post-match Goodison derby chaos.
Jones was given a second yellow card and subsequent red card for his part in the fracas after James Tarkowski's contentious 98th-minute strike earned Everton a 2-2 draw on Wednesday.
The Liverpool midfielder had taken umbrage at Everton counterpart Abdoulaye Doucoure - who was also dismissed - goading the away supporters following the final whistle which then sparked a melee involving both sets of players, stewards and police.
And while not condoning the actions of Jones, Fowler - who was speaking BoyleSports, who offer the latest Premier League odds - reckons they could help win over any Liverpool fans who have yet to be convinced by the 24-year-old.

“I thought the reaction of Curtis Jones was brilliant, it was incredible," said Fowler, who was involved in a few derby spats during his Liverpool career.
"If there were any Liverpool fans who didn’t like him before, they will love him now.
“It shows you that he is Liverpool through and through and in his heart, he cares for those fans and he wasn’t going to let Abdoulaye Doucoure take the Michael out of them.
“I'm not saying it was justified because obviously you don't condone what happened afterwards, but it told us a lot about Doucoure.
I was impressed by Curtis Jones but it’s just a shame he was sent off."
Everton's late leveller meant Liverpool failed to extend their lead to nine points at the Premier League summit.
It was the first of five games in 15 days with the Reds entertaining Wolves on Sunday before difficult away trips to Aston Villa and champions Manchester City and a home game against fellow League Cup finalists Newcastle United.

Fowler was speaking to BoyleSports, who offer the latest Premier League odds, and said: "It’s not all doom and gloom.
Arne Slot won’t see it as a blip, in the grand scheme of things they have gone from six points clear to seven points clear and three games they’d have to slip up in to lose their lead at the top.
“If you look at the next couple of weeks, Liverpool have some difficult games as well as Arsenal.
