With five crucial Premier League matches in just 15 days, rotation is likely to increase for the trip to Villa Park.

Andy Robertson's inconsistent performance against Wolves leaves room for Kostas Tsimikas to step in as left-back, while Conor Bradley made a strong case for himself after replacing Trent Alexander-Arnold in the second half.

Alisson Becker sustained a shin injury on Sunday but was able to continue playing.

If there are any concerns about his fitness, Caoimhin Kelleher is ready to step in, with Vitezslav Jaros as the third-choice goalkeeper.

A decision on Gravenberch is pending

The return of Curtis Jones from a one-match suspension following his post-match red card at Everton and the impressive performance from Wataru Endo against Wolves will provide Slot with much-needed options in a midfield that seemed fatigued on Sunday.

Scarce attacking options

Slot has hinted that Cody Gakpo, who was absent against Wolves due to a foot injury, is likely to remain sidelined.

This would leave Diaz on the left wing with Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez again competing for the number nine role.

Jota started at the weekend but appeared tired in the second half, although Nunez did little to bolster his claims with a disappointing cameo.
