Liverpool appear to have been handed a transfer blow amid reports they have an interest in signing Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak.
Rumours have emerged over the last few weeks claiming that the Reds are weighing up a move to sign the Sweden international during the summer transfer window.
It's not just Liverpool that have been mentioned as a potential suitor for Isak ever since the January transfer window.
Reports have speculated that Arsenal and Barcelona are also in the race for the striker's signature, with Isak likely to be one of the most sought-after players this summer.
Isak has scored 19 goals in all competitions for Newcastle this season, leading to speculation he could leave St James' Park.
Now, a fresh update has emerged about the striker's future, which concerns Liverpool.

According to Caught Offside, Arsenal have emerged as the front runners to try and sign Isak this summer.
It has been claimed that the Gunners have shown the strongest interest in their efforts to agree a deal for the 25-year-old at the end of the season.
Liverpool are mentioned in the report as still showing an interest in signing Isak but are not the favourites to complete a deal for the striker's signature.
The report goes on to say that Newcastle will try their best to keep Isak at the club, which will apparently include efforts to agree a new contract with an increase in salary.
