Arne Slot will not stand on the touchline for Liverpool's Premier League fixtures against Newcastle United on Wednesday or against Southampton next month.
The Liverpool head coach had already accepted the FA's charge of having 'acted in an improper manner and/or used insulting and/or abusive words and/or behaviour towards both the match referee and an assistant referee'.
Now an independent Regulatory Commission has reviewed the matter and determined that a two-match suspension suffices for this charge.
I would do it [differently] next time as well."
As stated, this immediate implementation of the ban means he will have to sit in the stands for Newcastle's Premier League visit tonight and then again for Southampton's Premier League visit to Anfield on Saturday, March 8.
With his assistant Sipke Hulshoff also banned for the same number of games and fined £7,000, John Heitinga is expected to lead the Reds from the dugout.
Intertwined with these fixtures, Liverpool will also play a two-legged Champions League last-16 tie vs Paris Saint-Germain.
As the ban only applies to domestic matches, Slot will be available both away in Paris and for the return home fixture.
The ECHO's readers were therefore asked in the same snap poll how confident they were of the team's chances while their head coach serves his ban.
A resounding 79 per cent said they remain confident of Liverpool being fine.

20 per cent said they have a few nerves heading towards the first test against the Magpies, whilst the final one percent admit that they are not confident whatsoever without the main man on the touchline.
