Virgil van Dijk was not happy with the decision to award a goal to Tottenham in the first half of the 6-3 win.
The win saw the Reds increase their lead at the top of the Premier League table.
The game started in the perfect way for Liverpool with goals from Luis Diaz and Alexis Mac Allister putting them 2-0 up.
Maddison then halved the deficit for Tottenham in the 41st minute.
The goal was met with complaints from Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk, who felt that there was a foul on Mac Allister in the build-up to the goal.
However, former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher didn’t agree.

“I think Dejan Kulusevski has his own foot stood on,” he said on Sky Sports’ ref watch.
“It's not a foul, but again the referee has the perfect position as he's looking straight at it.”
The former referee, turned pundit, also gave his thoughts on Tottenham’s claim that they should have been awarded a penalty in the opening minutes.
He is the most talented referee to come through in the last two years to the Premier League.
