Arne Slot has been warned that Milos Kerkez - his potential Andy Robertson replacement at Liverpool - has an 'erratic' tendency that may need to be ironed out.

Liverpool are reported to be leading the race to sign Bournemouth defender Kerkez.

The Hungarian left-back has impressed many of the top clubs in the Premier League this season with both Manchester clubs also said to be interested.

The i Paper has reported that out of his options, Kerkez favours a move to Anfield over their Manchester rivals.

"I think if I'd taken a touch it would close up the space and the defender could get out.

He's obviously a very good crosser of the ball and thankfully it ended up on my boot."

Bournemouth have made it clear that they don't have any plans to sell Kerkez in January, but their signing of left-back Julio Soler for £11.5m says different.

The Cherries are believed to have fielded offers around £50m for the defender.

Prior to Liverpool's Premier League clash against Bournemouth in September, Slot has faced Kerkez before, back in the Netherlands.

The 21-year-old played Slot's Feyenoord team twice and lost on both occasions.

Before his move to Bournemouth, Kerkez played against some Liverpool players previously in his career, going up against Conor Bradley and Tyler Morton whilst he was with AC Milan's youth squad.
