One of the latest transfer rumours could see Liverpool have the perfect gift in mind for a potential new signing.
The Reds have to wait until June before they are able to complete their first signings of the summer transfer window.
Even though the window is not open, there is nothing stopping Liverpool from putting in the work ahead of potentially a busy summer.
The Reds are also able to agree deals for players who are out of contract in the summer, should they wish to do so.
Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah is one of the latest players to be linked with a move to Liverpool.
Mundo Deportivo in Spain has claimed that the Reds will compete with Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur for the signing of Tah, whose contract expires at the end of the season.

It remains to be seen if Liverpool will look to strengthen the centre-back department in the summer.
If Tah turns out to be a genuine target, the Reds may already have the perfect gift lined up for the Germany international.
When a new signing is confirmed, fans are often eager to see what squad number the club hands the player.
In Tah's case, if Liverpool were to agree a deal for the defender it would see the possibility of him being awarded one of the club's most iconic shirt numbers.
The No.6 shirt is currently available for new signings, having been vacated by Thiago Alcantara last summer.

Dejan Lovren was the last defender to wear the number, from 2014-20, which has also been worn by several club legends including Alan Hansen, Phil Thompson and Emlyn Hughes.
Liverpool also have the numbers 12 and 13 available to new signings this summer.
The No.4 could also be available, if the Reds don't agree a new contract with Virgil van Dijk whose current deal is set to expire at the end of the season.
