Bournemouth are reportedly demanding a fee of £45million to part ways with in-demand defender Milos Kerkez this summer.

The left-back has been heavily linked with a move to a 'big six' side at the end of the season, and he is not short of interest.

Liverpool have been heavily linked with the Hungary international as Arne Slot looks to reshuffle his defensive ranks and signing a new left-back is expected to be among the priorities at Anfield ahead of next season.

With Andrew Robertson not getting any younger and Kostas Tsimikas struggling for minutes, Kerkez has been widely tipped as the ideal acquisition at Anfield – and he is reportedly available for a reasonable fee.

According to The Times, Bournemouth have put a £45m price tag on the 21-year-old following his sensational breakout campaign at the Vitality Stadium.

Kerkez has scored two goals and registered five assists in 29 league appearances so far this season, though those tallies somewhat undersell how important the defender has been for the Cherries so far this season.

The ex-AZ Alkmaar star has thrived in Andoni Iraola’s system having been given the licence to roam forward and be a threat in the final third as long as he is willing to do the hard yards and race back to defend when required.

As such, it is no surprise that Liverpool are among his suitors.

However, the Reds will have to stump up the full fee for Kerkez if they decide to press on with their pursuit of the left-back at the end of the season.

The Reds may have felt that offloading their second-choice goalkeeper and bringing in a new top-quality left-back was the perfect swap deal given that Bournemouth are expected to be in the market for a goalkeeper at the end of the season and Kelleher is eyeing an Anfield exit.

However, Bournemouth have their sights set on retaining the services of Kepa Arrizabalaga following his loan from Chelsea.
