Liverpool has been named the Premier League club with the most kits sold in the United States so far in the 2024/25 season.

The Reds are unarguably one of the biggest clubs in the world, with a fan base that spans every continent.

Their elite global appeal has been established in recent months through several milestones.



The Reds were the first Premier League club to reach over 11 million subscribers on YouTube, while they also recently surpassed 200 million global social media followers across its men’s and women’s channels on X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, WhatsApp, Snapchat, Threads, LinkedIn, Sina Weibo, Bilibili, Douyin and LINE.

Meanwhile, independent data released recently by Nielsen revealed that Arne Slot’s side reached a cumulative TV audience of 133.8 million viewers, more than any other club in the division, across their first nine Premier League matches from August to October 2024.

The club claimed the top spot in the Central and South America, Europe and MENA regions.

Liverpool’s growth in broadcast audiences is a continuation of last season, when they were officially the most-watched team globally in the Premier League, with a cumulative audience of 471 million for all 38 top-flight games.

Indeed, apart from Real Madrid and Barcelona, no other club is competing with the Reds in terms of global reach.

The club’s success on the field, particularly in the last ten years since Jurgen Klopp first joined the club, has been a major reason for their popularity.

However, there is no denying that Liverpool has become more popular in the United States because of the club’s American owners.

FSG, who own the majority of the shares at Liverpool, is popular in the States, and the consortium is also the owners of the Baseball team Boston Red Sox.

Liverpool’s association with four-time NBA champion LeBron James has also boosted the club’s popularity stateside.

The American athlete has been a minority stakeholder in the club for years, and his penchant for rocking the club’s kits has helped market Liverpool kit.

James was recently spotted wearing a Liverpool tracksuit to watch the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Indiana Pacers.

Liverpool’s popularity in the United States has continued to grow with recent data from Soccer.com showing that among Premier League clubs, the Reds sold the most jerseys in the United States.

The data, which was captured between 2024 and early 2025, showed that Arne Slot’s side outsold rivals Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United.

Elsewhere, Liverpool duo Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk were ranked third and fifth on the list for player jersey sales.
