Liverpool have been handed a fresh update regarding the future of Borussia Dortmund star Jamie Gittens.
The Reds have been credited with an interest in signing the England Under-21 international over the last few weeks, with reports suggesting Liverpool could make a move during the summer transfer window.
It's not just Arne Slot's side that have been mentioned as a potential destination for Gittens this summer, with the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur being mentioned as possible suitors.

Now, a fresh update has emerged about Gittens' future, which will provide new information to Liverpool, as well as hand them a potential blow.

Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has claimed that Chelsea have now opened talks with Gittens' representatives ahead of the summer transfer window.
The report claims the London outfits have a "concrete" interest in Gittens, with there being no mention on if Liverpool will make a move for the former Manchester City talent.
It has also been revealed in the report what fee Dortmund would be willing to accept for Gittens' signature this summer.
The report states that the Bundesliga club would be open to offers between €50million (£42.9million) and €60million (£51.5million).

Gittens left Man City in 2020 to join Dortmund and has since gone on to become one of the most talented forward players in the Bundesliga.
The 20-year-old has scored 12 goals this season as well as contributed with five assists.
It remains to be seen if Liverpool will look to sign a player in Gittens' position when the summer transfer window opens.
Gittens plays on the left wing for Dortmund, a role which has been filled by Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo this season for the Reds.
