Injuries can be cruel in football.

A young player gets their chance, performs well, and then suddenly, they’re sidelined.

It’s a tough reality that many players face, and it can be especially frustrating when it happens more than once.

Liverpool fans know this feeling all too well.

They’ve seen promising talents come through the ranks, only to struggle with setbacks that slow their progress.

When a player goes out on loan, the hope is that they get valuable game time and return stronger.

But sometimes, things don’t go as planned.

That’s exactly the case with one of Liverpool’s young left-backs.

He was having a strong season, making a name for himself in the Championship.

But now, he finds himself dealing with an injury – again.

Liverpool left-back suffers another injury setback

Owen Beck had been enjoying a solid loan spell at Blackburn Rovers.

The 22-year-old was a key player in their push for the play-offs and even earned a call-up to the Wales senior squad.

But his season has been anything but smooth.

Earlier in the campaign, he was involved in a bizarre incident when Preston’s Milutin Osmajic bit him.

Beck reacted and was sent off, leading to a three-match suspension.

Osmajic, who initially received only a yellow card, was later handed an eight-game ban.

Then came the real problem – injuries.

Beck suffered a hamstring injury in February, forcing him to miss seven games.

He finally returned to action against Portsmouth, but his comeback lasted just 13 minutes before he went down again.

According to reports, he was “visibly emotional” as he left the pitch.

Blackburn manager Valerien Ismael addressed the situation after the game.

“For the first 30 minutes, we were ready and knew it would be a fight,” he said.

“I thought we started well, but we lost Becky again after 10 minutes, which was a big frustration.”

“We had to change our game plan, adjust a little bit, and we conceded during that moment, which was difficult to take.”

He confirmed that Beck had suffered another hamstring injury and that further assessments were needed.

“Owen has a hamstring injury.

On Monday, we’ll have a scan and will have more clarity.”

For Liverpool, this is another worrying injury setback for one of their promising young defenders.

Beck was gaining valuable experience, but now, his development is once again on hold.
