One Liverpool player’s season is over after he suffered a season-ending injury.
The Reds have had a few injury issues this season, with the likes of Diogo Jota, Harvey Elliott, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Conor Bradley, Federico Chiesa, Tyler Morton and Alisson Becker all having varying times on the sidelines.
Despite the fitness isuess, Liverpool have remained solid all season.
The Reds are in the final of the Carabao Cup, are 15 points ahead in the Premier League title race and are also on the verge of progressing to the UEFA Champions League next round.
However, Liverpool’s first-teamers are not the only ones that have suffered spells on the sidelines.
There has been a few injury concerns at the academy level this season also.
Jayden Danns, Ben Doak, Luke Chambers, and Calum Scanlon are some of the Reds youngsters who have had ill luck with injuries this season.
Doak, for example, has been a key performer for Michael Carrick’s side, contributing three goals and seven assists in 24 Championship appearances.
But he has suffered an injury setback that is threatening to derail his season.
Another academy player has now suffered a devastating injury that will keep him out for the rest of the season.
The player in question is 18-year-old Clae Ewing.
The youngster joined the Liverpool FC Academy set-up from Bury at U12 level.
He has the ability to play on the left side of midfield or at left-back.
According to reporter Lewis Bower, the 18-year-old’s season has ended early due to injury.
“The Liverpool academy player can be massively proud of his efforts this season,” Bower wrote.
“He missed the entirety of his maiden scholarship season due to injury, in which he couldn’t train at all.
He even made his U21 debut as an U18 player.”
