Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard is the bookmakers’ favourite to become new Rangers manager as pressure builds on current Gers’ boss Philippe Clement.
The club’s shock loss against Scottish Championship side Queens Park in the Scottish Cup on Sunday only increased calls for the manager to be shown the door.
It does however look like he will be in the dugout for the Scottish Premiership match against Hearts on Sunday (12pm kick-off).
Anything other than a win would see pressure continue to build on the Belgian.
So much is the pressure, that bookmakers Betfair have already opened a market for his possible replacement.

Former Liverpool captain Gerrard has been tipped to make a return to Ibrox, and has been installed as the favourite to replace Clement at a price of 2/1.
He is rates as fifth favourite to take the role, at a price of 5/1.
Both Gerrard and Rooney are out of work since leaving their respective positions at Al-Ettifaq and Plymouth Argyle recently.
The former could have the edge after leading Rangers to the Scottish Premiership title in the 2020/21 season before leaving to take the managerial role at Aston Villa.
Gerrard lasted just 11 months at Villa Park before being replaced by Unai Emery.
He joined Saudi side Al-Ettifaq in July 2023, but left at the end of last month via a mutual agreement.
