Liverpool has no intention of selling Jarell Quansah this summer, despite the youngster having been reduced to a peripheral figure this season.
Quansah started in 10 of Liverpool's last 15 games of the 2023-24 season but has lined up just twice in the top flight this term, having lost his place in the team to Ibrahima Konate just 45 minutes into Arne Slot's first competitive game in charge.
The 22-year-old only signed a long-term contract at Liverpool last October and The Athletic reports that the Reds have no intention of selling a player who they have high hopes for in the future.
That report is in contrast to a claim made by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano earlier this week, as he suggested there was a possibility that Quansah could leave.

“You have Virgil Van Dijk [close to] extending his contract, [Ibrahima] Konate is still there, the interest in [Dean] Huijsen, and Liverpool have many players in that position."
After quickly deciding that Quansah wasn't ready to be a regular alongside Van Dijk at the start of the season, Slot praised Quansah in February, saying that he was back to his best level after putting in an important performance as a second-half substitute in a win against Wolves.
“I think everybody has seen recently that he did really well and I see in training sessions that he is back to being the same Jarell that he was in pre-season,” Slot said
“I think he had a bit of a hard time after being taken off at Ipswich [in Liverpool's first game of the season] and the first two or three games after that, when he came in, was also a bit of a struggle
And he's just showing in the last two or three months, on the training pitch but also when he comes in, that he's back to his old level.”
