Liverpool players will jet off to their different national teams next week after facing Aston Villa this Saturday.
The November international break begins next week, and several Liverpool players will be involved with their national teams.
For example, Curtis Jones and Trent Alexander Arnold have already been called up for England?
So, barring any last-minute changes, they will be part of Lee Carlsey’s squad to face Greece and Northern Ireland in the UEFA Champions League games this November.
Cody Gakpo, Ryan Gravenberch, and Virgil van Dijk are expected to join the Dutch national team, while Dominik Szoboszlai, currently the captain of the Hungarian national team, will also travel.
Conor Bradley will also join up with the Northern Ireland national team.
The Liverpool right-back captained his nation during the last international break and is expected to continue in that role this time.
Elsewhere, Caoimhin Kelleher will join the Ireland national team, while Mohamed Salah is expected to captain Egypt in their AFCON qualifier games against Cape Verde and Botswana.
South American contingent Luis Diaz, Alexis Mac Allister and Darwin Nunez will also travel, while the likes of Jarell Quansah could feature for the youth teams.
Ibrahima Konate could captain France
Meanwhile, Ibrahima Konate could play a big role when he joins the French national team next week.
According to French outlet RMC Sport, the Liverpool defender is one of three candidates under consideration to captain France during the international break.
Les Bleus are currently without a recognised captain for their upcoming matches due to the absence of Real Madrid duo Kylian Mbappé and Aurélien Tchouaméni.
Mbappé is absent for the second consecutive international break, while Tchouameni is currently out injured with a sprained ankle that could see him miss Real Madrid’s Champions League game against Liverpool later this month.
Didier Deschamps named the former Monaco midfielder vice-captain during the last international break, but his absence means there is a need for a stand-in captain.
According to the report, Konate is on a three-man shortlist of those being considered for the role alongside N’Golo Kanté and Jules Koundé.
Wearing the national team captain armband is nothing new to Konate, who captained France in last month’s international break.
The Liverpool defender has been in good form for the Reds this season and fully deserves his recognition within the national team setup.
