Gordon arrived at Liverpool from Derby County as a 16-year-old in the summer of 2021 in a deal that could cost up to £4.3 million.

H

e has made a total of seven senior appearances for Liverpool, scoring once.

Injury saw him forced to sit out 18 months before making his return in 2023.

Gordon put pen-to-paper on a new long-term contract with the Reds back in May before joining Championship side Norwich City on loan later in the summer.

He returned to Liverpool in January due to a lack on game time, though.

The winger then joined Portsmouth on loan later in the January window, and has so far made four appearances for the south coast club.

Speaking about the value of the loan spell, and the game time that comes with it, Gordon appeared relaxed about what the future has in store.

“I’ve still got a while left at Liverpool yet so we’ll see,” he said, via The News.

“We’ll just have to see what happens.

“There’s still a lot of time left this season and you never know what could happen.

It’s good [to be playing regularly], I just needed to get out and play men’s football.

“That’s good for myself and I’ve needed that, because I’ve missed a lot of football beforehand.

"It’s a good experience, it’s a big difference [from PL2], everyone who makes that jump at my ages can tell that.

“It’s a big difference but I think I can deal with it, I’ve just got to get a run of games now.”

Portsmouth currently sit in 17th place in the Championship table, four points clear of the bottom three.
