Liverpool will be without two players for the FA Cup game against Plymouth Argyle on Sunday after Arne Slot confirmed Tyler Morton is set to be sidelined for a significant period of time with a shoulder problem.
Slot hinted that Morton, whose last appearance for the Reds came in the 3-2 defeat by PSV Eindhoven at the end of January, could be missing for several months.
Liverpool's head coach also confirmed that Morton's injury was a contributing factor in the club's decision to keep hold of fellow young midfielder James McConnell amid loan interest from Championship clubs towards the end of the January transfer window.

McConnell could expect to feature against Plymouth having also figured during the third-round victory over Accrington Stanley at Anfield.
Meanwhile, Trent Alexander-Arnold will also be absent for the game with the thigh injury he sustained during last weekend's Premier League win over Bournemouth.
The right-back missed the 4-0 victory over Tottenham in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg but is not expected to miss much more action, with a return in next week's Merseyside derby at Goodison Park a possibility.
