Bradley has been out since February after suffering a hamstring injury against Aston Villa but is nearing a comeback ahead of Wednesday’s Merseyside derby clash with Everton.
With Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is still attracting major interest from Real Madrid when his contract expires at the end of the season, also out injured, Slot could do with having Bradley available for the Anfield tie.
However, the Dutchman insists he is taking a cautious approach when it comes to the 21-year-old and isn’t going to rush him back before time.
“Conor is training with us again, but we have to make a decision on whether he is playing, and if playing means coming in or starting,” Slot said.
“That’s something I will keep to myself.
He’s only had a few sessions after being out quite long with a repetitive injury, so we have to make a smart decision with that.”
Bradley will hope to be back in the line-up as soon as possible in order to prove to Slot that he can be Alexander-Arnold’s replacement should the England right-back indeed depart for Madrid in the summer.
The 26-year-old has fans at the Bernabeu, while rivals Barcelona have also expressed interest, and Slot was unwilling to be drawn on any speculation around the defender.
