Liverpool are not showing any signs of slowing down under Arne Slot, having just made it through arguably their toughest period yet.
Andy Robertson shone for Liverpool as they beat Girona 1-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday, keeping the club’s winning streak alive.
Liverpool top the Champions League table with six wins from six, with the Anfield club also sitting top of the Premier League table.
Despite the latest European win, the Reds were not as lethal in front of goal as they should have been, with Ryan Gravenberch among those guilty of overplaying.
That issue, combined with the fact that Mohamed Salah’s contract will expire at the end of the season, could force Slot into signing a new attacker sooner rather than later.

A long list of Salah alternatives has already emerged, although none come close to actually keeping the winger at the club, which is the ideal scenario.
But given his superb displays this season, Southampton winger Tyler Dibling has now emerged as a real option to take over from the Liverpool star.
Karen Carney labelled Dibling ‘exceptional’ after the Saints drew 1-1 with Brighton last month, with the teenager having terrorised many experienced defenders this season.

And that includes Robertson, who tumbled into the 18-year-old to concede a penalty in November’s five-goal thriller at St Mary’s, which the Reds won 3-2.
Dibling can undoubtedly add more goals and assists to his game, but those will come with both experience and through playing in a team constantly challenging for silverware.
Southampton fans will still be really fed up with Liverpool buying their players, a common scenario that has taken place over recent years.
The Reds have had varying degrees of success with Saints players, having turned to them for the likes of Nathaniel Clyne, Dejan Lovren, Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and even Peter Crouch.

But none hold a candle to star duo Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk, with the latter still an integral player at Anfield and one the best players in the history of the club.
Dibling certainly has the potential to hit the ground running on Merseyside, although he would be up against it from day one if signed as a direct Salah replacement.

Like Van Dijk, the Egyptian will go down as one of the greatest Liverpool players ever, meaning Dibling would perhaps have to work twice as hard to win over the Anfield faithful.
His dribbling and direct running are already at a very high level for his age, but adding more physicality and indeed goal involvements should now be the aim for the youngster.
