Nunez, 25, has been heavily linked with a move away this summer but the Reds might have to pay Benfica a further sum before they make a sale.

According to Portuguese outlet A Bola, Benfica will be owned £4.3m if Nunez makes his 50th start for Liverpool.

The Uruguayan striker has been stuck on 49 for six games and appears to be firmly out of Slot's plans.
