Klopp payout revealed

On the topic of Klopp, it has been revealed that the German and his staff were handed significant payouts upon their exits from Anfield.

He announced that he would depart in January last year with two years remaining on his contract.

In confirming their accounts for last term, it has been confirmed that Klopp and his backroom staff, including Pep Lijnders, Peter Krawietz, Vitor Matos, John Achterberg, Jack Robinson, Andreas Kornmayer and Andreas Schlumberger, received combined payouts of £9.6million.

That managerial change grew even more expensive given the fee that Liverpool had to pay to replace Klopp.

They agreed a deal worth £7.7m plus add ons with Feyenoord for Slot’s signature.

While Liverpool forked out for Klopp and Slot, one man they did not pay for is Antony.
