Paul Scholes claims Liverpool has "issues" "I can understand why Trent Alexander-Arnold wants to go," Scholes said on the latest edition of The Overlap, brought to you by Sky Bet.
"When we were growing up with the team we had, I try to imagine if a team like a Real Madrid or a Barcelona [came in for one of our players] and we were a dominant team.
"We felt like we could go on for a long time and win leagues and challenge for European cups.
If you talk about the Manchester United team now, then yes — good luck, you deserve to go.
"Trent is possibly looking at Liverpool and thinking other than having a good team and winning the Premier League, it doesn’t look like it’s going to be a dominant team for years to come.
It still feels like there’s a few issues at Liverpool with Trent, Virgil van Dijk and Mo Salah.
"There still looks like there’s work to do.
You go to Real Madrid, and they are going to win leagues and European cups for the next 10 years so I can understand him wanting to do it from that point of view."
