It's the news every Liverpool fan was hoping for - Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk look as though they will be staying.

News that the pair are closing in on signing new contracts emerged on Wednesday, giving Arne Slot the perfect boost heading into the final few games of the season, when his side will of course be looking to finish the job off in the Premier League title race.

While Salah and Van Dijk look as though they'll be staying, the same can't be said for Trent Alexander-Arnold.



The right-back looks as though he'll be heading to Real Madrid at the end of his contract this summer, although if that turns out to be the case, Liverpool can be more than happy to have secured two of its three stars' futures.

Whether there will be more big names following Alexander-Arnold out of the exit door remains to be seen though.

Reports in Turkey suggest Alisson Becker could be on his way out of Anfield, with Galatasaray said to be discussing Liverpool's No.1 as a potential signing.
