The Premier League title is moving closer and closer to Anfield after yet another good night for Liverpool on Wednesday.

The Reds’ lead at the top of the table has grown once again after a 2-0 win over Newcastle at Anfield, thanks to goals from Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister.

The result ensured Arne Slot’s team made the most of another slip-up from Arsenal, with Mikel Arteta’s side being held to a goalless draw at Nottingham Forest.

Those latest twists mean Liverpool’s lead in the title race now stands at 13 points, and although Arsenal does hold a game in hand, it does look to be turning into something of a procession for the Reds.

They need 21 points from their final 10 league games in order to be guaranteed the championship, although chances are they won’t even need that many given the way their rivals are going.
