Kimmich has been a constant presence in the Champions League this season, aiding Bayern in edging past Celtic to secure a round of 16 clash with Bayer Leverkusen
It is reported that an increased offer was ruled out and the existing one withdrawn, although the same source suggests that the possibility of a new deal hasn't been entirely dismissed.
Liverpool and City could both be in the market for right-back reinforcements in the summer, potentially creating an opportunity for Kimmich to play more regularly in the position he held for Germany at Euro 2024
Reds defender Trent Alexander-Arnold's contract expires in June and he continues to be associated with Real Madrid, while City has experimented with several options since allowing Kyle Walker to join AC Milan on an initial loan.
