The latest transfer news and rumours as a new report emerges about Erling Haaland deciding to leave Liverpool's title rivals Manchester City
Erling Haaland is reportedly planning to leave Manchester City
For years Manchester City have found multiple ways of being the bane of Liverpool's Premier League title aspirations.
Now it is rumoured that one of those methods could be making a transfer away sooner than expected.
Formerly Jurgen Klopp's side, the Reds went toe-to-toe with Man City for the title on many occasions.
They managed to topple them in 2020, though Pep Guardiola's men have not had their dominant streak broken in four years now.

For the past two seasons Liverpool have undergone a period of rebuilding so the mantle of closest challengers has passed to Arsenal, but now under the leadership of head coach Arne Slot they have climbed the table in the early weeks to sit top and prove perhaps they are again ready to go the distance.
In the recent years that Liverpool have finished 21 and nine points behind City, it is striker Erling Haaland who has had the most prolific impact to keep the trophy in Manchester.
His maiden campaign in England saw him settle seamlessly, scoring 52 goals en route to the treble, and the up-to-date figures show he has netted 101 times in 108 total appearances.
Averaging one Premier League goal per game, he is therefore on track to beat Alan Shearer's all-time record of 260 strikes in just as many outings.
If the Reds want to win the title anytime soon, this just isn't going to help their cause.

Therefore the latest transfer whisper will come to the delight of those on Merseyside, with Spanish outlet El Nacional claiming that the Norwegian has made the choice to leave England next summer in search of a new challenge.
The point ultimately is that the 24-year-old serial goalscorer would cease to be a Man City player, with Liverpool on standby to capitalise and win the title when the opportunity arrives.
By this point every club in the league should also know the outcome of Man City's legal battle with the Premier League over alleged financial discrepancies, which they strongly deny, and it will be interesting to see whether stars like Haaland do end up moving on if some of the speculated severe punishments are dealt.
