We’re yet to see a goal at the Gtech Community Stadium in what has been a competitive game of Premier League football between Liverpool and Brentford.
The Reds have actually fared quite well away from home but need to step it up in the second half to return to winning ways after their 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest.
Brentford’s home form this season has actually been quite impressive and they showed their class with a gritty display defensively while also threatening Liverpool on the counter.
Bryan Mbeumo has grabbed much of the attention for the Bees this season and was in the thick of the action once again vs Liverpool.
The Anfield faithful had their say on his performance after recent reports claimed the Reds are actually plotting a move for the Cameroonian.

Mbeumo is a household name in the Premier League but has taken his game to another level this season, having already notched up 13 league goals.
His performances don’t seem to have unnoticed, with a host of clubs reportedly keeping tabs on him.
Liverpool are seriously considering making a move for Mbeumo and the Brentford man certainly gave a good account of himself in the first half.

He was a thorn in the flesh of the Liverpool backline and gave Kostas Tsimikas a hard time, with the Greek international also getting himself booked for a cynical foul on him.
Liverpool fans were also quick to point out how he got the beating of Virgil van Dijk, although the defender recovered exceptionally well to win the ball back for his team.
@keiran193 wrote: “Van Dijk just made Mbuemo look slow there!” while @_die_grootman added: “Filthy move by Mbeumo on van Dijk.
Made him pass like Roadrunner.”
The battle between Tsimikas and Mbeumo appeared to be quite one-sided, with the Brentford man clearly getting the better of the Liverpool left-back.
@AnfieldMagic wrote: “Throw the absolute kitchen sink at Mbeumo in the summer, unreal” while @MinaFootball added: “That Brentford switch to isolate Mbeumo vs Tsimikas will pay off eventually.”
@tristankop quipped: “Tsimikas needs help against Mbeumo” while @BonafideLFC appeared to question the Liverpool backline for not doing enough to keep Mbeumo at bay.
Liverpool’s attack is their strongest suit, at least on paper, but the Reds could do well with a player like Mbeumo.
His numbers have consistently improved in the Premier League and it’s the kind of signing Liverpool have done over the years, with a handful of players like Sadio Mane catapulted to superstardom after moving to Anfield.
Liverpool fans were certainly impressed by his performance in the first half and judging by what’s been said in the media recently, the Reds are surely keeping tabs on him.
Whether or not they firm up their interest, however, remains to be seen in the upcoming transfer windows.
