Liverpool fans are eagerly awaiting positive transfer news as the club’s supporters still await their first new signing of the summer.
With Euro 2024 and Copa America currently underway, conducting business may prove challenging for head coach Arne Slot and sporting director Richard Hughes.
However, as the start of pre-season approaches, they are keen to secure new signings promptly.
The Reds have been linked with several players this summer as Slot looks to shape his squad ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Despite the transfer window being open for 13 days, activity has been relatively slow across most clubs, yet speculation continues to swirl around potential arrivals at Anfield.
Arda Guler, Joshua Kimmich, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia are among the latest names linked with Liverpool.
Additionally, discussions are ongoing regarding potential departures from the club in the coming weeks and months.
Liverpool defender set for a permanent transfer
Tyler Morton and Sepp van den Berg are reportedly set for moves away from Liverpool this summer following successful loan spells at Hull City and Mainz, respectively.
Additionally, Anderson Arroyo appears poised for a permanent transfer, ending a series of loan spells.
According to Spanish outlet Diaro de Burgos, Spanish club Burgos CF are set to secure Arroyo on a three-year deal.
The report claims that the agreement between the player and the Castilian club is complete, although minor issues with Liverpool still need resolution.
Arroyo made 16 appearances for Burgos last season.
The Colombian defender has spent six of his eight loan spells in Spain, including stints with Salamanca, Mirandes, Alaves, Andorra, and Burgos, while also gaining experience in Belgium and the Czech Republic.
Arroyo joined Liverpool at 18 in 2018 from Colombian side Fortaleza but has yet to make a first-team appearance for the club, instead embarking on multiple loan moves.
His contract with Liverpool will expire next summer after signing a new deal in 2022.
Arroyo would be the fifth player to depart from Liverpool this summer, following Thiago Alcantara, Joel Matip, Mateusz Musialowski, and Melkamu Frauendorf, who all left at the end of their contracts.
Additionally, Calvin Ramsay has joined Wigan Athletic on loan.
Meanwhile, despite being offered a new deal, Adrian is expected to leave Liverpool on a free transfer, with reports from Spain suggesting he has agreed to return to Real Betis.
