Liverpool dropped points in the Premier League title race on Wednesday as it drew 2-2 against Aston Villa.
The result does increase the Reds' gap at the top of the table to eight points but they have now played an extra game than Arsenal after a pulsating and capitating night of action at Villa Park.
Liverpool started brightly and registered three shots within the first six minutes, while dominating possession for the majority of the first half.
The Reds got the goal they deserved with Mohamed Salah netting his 15th away league goal of the campaign to break another record.
But Villa came roaring back, with Marcus Rashford - making his full debut for Villa - the inspiration for the majority of the hosts' attacks.
Trent Alexander-Arnold brought the score back to level terms when he latched on to a pass from Salah and fired past Emiliano Martinez, courtesy of a deflection off Tyrone Mings.
Winners
Mohamed Salah seems to break a record every week and he grabbed another at Villa Park as he netted his 15th away goal for Liverpool - overtaking the club record of Luis Suarez of the 14 in the 2013/14 Premier League season.
But it's Arsenal who is the big winners on Wednesday as Liverpool drops points for the second midweek in a row.
Nunez thought he had a chance at redemption soon after when he latched onto an weak pass from Mings back to Martinez, only for the keeper to come flying out of his goal and win the ball with a superb sliding tackle.
Conor Bradley also came off with a lack injury that Slot will hope is not too serious.
Came flying out of his goal early in the second half and was rounded by Rashford, but fortunately the subsequent shot was headed clear by Konate.
Improved in the second half and his forward passes helped Liverpool regain control after Villa started the half on top.
Alexis Mac Allister- (5).
