Liverpool have been handed a huge injury boost ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash with PSG.
The Reds take on Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16.
The game is scheduled for 8pm GMT at Anfield and Liverpool come in with a slender one-goal advantage.
Arne Slot’s side were the second-best team for much of the first leg but snatched a late winner thanks to Alisson Becker’s heroics and Harvey Elliott’s smart finish off a Darwin Nunez pass.
Having won their last seven home games in all competitions, Liverpool are well-positioned to secure the result needed to see them through this round.
The Reds have progressed from all 37 previous European ties in which they won the first leg away from home.
The Kop will be expecting Slot to mastermind another victorious performance here, since the Reds have beaten their last five French visitors to Anfield.
That is a bad sign for PSG, who are among the contingency of French clubs that have won none of their last 15 visits to England overall (D1, L14)?
The Parisians themselves have lost their last four trips to these shores.
Ahead of the second leg at Anfield, Slot will be able to call upon one of his stars, who missed the game in Paris.
Although Cody Gakpo travelled with the squad to Parc des Princes for the first leg, he was unable to feature in the game due to a minor injury he sustained in training.
He also missed the Reds’ win over Southampton on Saturday.
However, he has returned to training on Monday ahead of tomorrow’s game against PSG.
Meanwhile, Liverpool youngster Rio Ngumoha was also also involved in training.
However, while Gakpo is a big boost, the Reds will be without Conor Bradley against PSG as he once again missed training after suffering a hamstring injury last month.
Joe Gomez and Tyler Morton remain long-term absentees after undergoing surgery on hamstring and shoulder injuries, respectively.
