Liverpool have the chance to become the Premier League champions this Wednesday depending on the result of Arsenal’s game against Crystal Palace.
As the 2024-25 season is at the verge of ending, the Premier League title race has intensified with the Reds looking to secure the title in the maiden season of new head coach Arne Slot.
The Merseysiders displayed extreme passion and discipline on Sunday to emerge victorious over Leicester City at King Power Stadium as subbed on Trent Alexander-Arnold buried a left-footed strike in the Foxes’ goal and end the game with a 0-1 scoreline.
With this win, the Anfield giants added three points to their PL points tally to edge closer to the title.
In 33 games, they have accumulated an impressive 79 points with 24 wins, seven draws and two losses.
Now, as things stand, LFC might be crowned champions of the 2024-25 season if second-placed Arsenal lose their clash against Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.
If the Gunners win the match against Palace, Liverpool have to work a bit harder to acquire only one point from their next five fixtures to lift the PL silverware.
However, both Arsenal and Liverpool are confident of the second possibility and Reds skipper Virgil van Dijk predicts that they will have the opportunity to lift the title in front of the Anfield crowd.

As reported by journalist Paul Joyce via The Times, the whole Merseyside squad will be watching Wednesday’s game together.
He wrote,
“Liverpool are planning a squad get-together to watch Arsenal’s game with Crystal Palace in the event of being crowned Premier League champions before they kick another ball.”
Speaking post-match on Sunday about what they would do in the next few days, the towering Dutchman said,
“I expect Arsenal to win at home but, yeah, if it doesn’t happen then I think it would be nice to be together.
So however that may look, we will discuss in the next couple of days.
But if Arsenal just win that game, as they probably expect they will do against a very good Crystal Palace, then we have to do our job at the weekend.”
It almost reminds of Liverpool’s title-winning moment in 2020 when Jurgen Klopp and Co.
had assembled at Formby Hall to watch Chelsea beat Manchester City 2-1 that made sure they were putting an end to the 30-year PL title drought.
However, the celebration then was restricted due to the Covid-19 pandemic so the fans and the players could not enjoy the feat to the fullest.
But this time, the 58,000 Anfield crowd have the opportunity to witness the moment their beloved Merseyside team win the title.
