Liverpool players were spotted enjoying a day at Cheltenham just days after their devastating Champions League defeat to PSG.

Despite the recent loss, the Reds' stars appeared to be in high spirits as they celebrated victories on the racecourse.

Diogo Jota, donning in a brown overcoat and matching flat cap, was captured cheering from the stands, while Caoimhin Kelleher, in a three-piece suit, was also seen celebrating, leaving Andy Robertson looking somewhat perplexed.

The Scottish full-back had chosen to forgo the three-piece suit, instead opting for a blazer and shirt combo.

Conor Bradley was the last Liverpool player spotted in the photos, watching the races in a blue three-piece suit, complemented by a slightly darker tie, reports the Daily Star.

Arne Slot's team had been knocked out of the European competition on Tuesday evening, with Darwin Nunez and Curtis Jones having their penalties saved by Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Liverpool had entered the match with a one-goal advantage, but this was quickly overturned following a significant defensive error between Ibrahima Konate and Alisson.

PSG took control as Liverpool missed several golden opportunities to reclaim their lead.

However, after 120 minutes of play, the teams remained level and the match went to penalties, with PSG emerging victorious.

Arne Slot spoke about the upcoming fixture, saying: "Yeah, it's maybe the perfect game but I think our nine games in the league are going to be finals as well so if we had to play for the league on Sunday I think we would have been up for it also.

"But yeah, it's always nice to play for a trophy, it's always nice to win something.

"Although it is nine finals in the Premier League the upcoming [next league] game will not be the one where we can win something, so now this is the last game of the tournament and it's against Newcastle.
