Arne Slot's Liverpool squad nearly has a clean bill of health as Trent Alexander-Arnold closes in on a return to action after several weeks on the sidelines.

The right-back has not figured for the Reds since sustaining an ankle sprain in the Reds' defeat by Paris Saint-Germain at Anfield in March, but Slot said during a press conference on Friday that the 26-year-old is in contention to feature at Leicester.

Conor Bradley is likely to start the game, with Alexander-Arnold not deemed ready to start after nearly six weeks out.



“[Alexander-Arnold is] not [ready] to start but if things go well today and tomorrow, he might – might – be on the bench,” Slot said.

So he’s not able to start but hopefully he can be able to join us because for Conor [Bradley], he has been out for a long time so for him to play 90 isn’t easy as well.

The healthy state of the squad, coupled with Liverpool not being in any other competitions, makes it fairly easy to predict the team that Arne Slot is likely to select against Leicester.



Gakpo has started just once for Liverpool since the Merseyside derby on February 12.

Jota, meanwhile, has scored just two Premier League goals in 2025, but in Darwin Nunez he does not have a credible challenger for his place in the team

A victory for Liverpool at Leicester, coupled with an unlikely defeat for Arsenal by Ipswich, would see Slot and his players crowned champions.
