Liverpool are preparing for a major transfer splurge in the event they lose Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold this summer.
According to The Athletic, 'a huge amount' of money will be set aside to sign replacements, with Liverpool fully aware of the importance of a rebuild should one, two or all three superstars leave.
Salah, Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold are the club's highest earners, and if any of them end up staying it will likely impact how much money Arne Slot will have to spend on new additions in the summer.
According to the Deloitte Football Money League, the club's total revenue was up to around £600million for 2023/24, an increase on the previous season's £565m.
Much of that was down to a £37m increase in commercial revenue and a £24m hike in matchday revenue, thanks in part to the opening of the new Anfield Road stand.
Liverpool's failure to qualify for last season's Champions League saw a drop in broadcast revenue, but that figure is expected to leap up this season, particularly with the Reds set to bank at least £83m in Champions League prize money this term, with a further £47m left to play for.
Liverpool also have a new kit deal with Adidas starting next season, which will earn them £60m per year.
All told, the club should have plenty of financial freedom in the summer window, especially if top earners Salah, Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold do end up leaving.

The uncertainty surrounding their futures doesn't appear to have made any sort of impact on Liverpool's form.
It's understood that Los Blancos are confident of landing the full-back in the summer, but Liverpool haven't given up hope of convincing him to stay.

Meanwhile, both Salah and Van Dijk have openly expressed a desire to remain at the club, but negotiations with the pair have seemingly been at a standstill for several weeks.
