Liverpool FC has released important information on the purchase of Carabao Cup final tickets.

The Reds secured their place in the final with a commanding 4-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the second leg of the semi-final, overturning a 1-0 first-leg deficit.

Arne Slot’s side began their FA Cup journey with a commanding 5-1 victory over West Ham in the third round, followed by a hard-fought 3-2 away win against Brighton in the fourth round.

The Reds then overcame Southampton 2-1 in the quarterfinals before the Tottenham win.

They face Newcastle United, who booked their place in Wembley courtesy of a convincing 4-0 aggregate win over Arsenal in the semi-finals.

The Magpies are seeking their first major trophy in 70 years, with the squad having the experience of the 2022/23 Carabao Cup final defeat to Manchester United to call on.

Liverpool FC have already released ticket prices and details for the Carabao Cup final.

They have now released further information on the Carabao Cup final ticket purchase in a statement posted on the club’s official website.

Liverpool FC release statement on Carabao Cup final ticket

Liverpool FC asked supporters to purchase the Carabao Cup tickets only from the club’s official source.

“Liverpool FC is urging fans to only purchase tickets for the Carabao Cup final from the club, as it is the only official seller of LFC tickets for the Wembley clash with Newcastle United on Sunday, March 16,” the statement said.

“Supporters should be aware that ticket checks will be carried out on the day and where a ticket has been found to have been resold, the supporter may be denied entry to Wembley.

If supporters do purchase tickets from unofficial sellers, the club will not be in a position to help if they are refused entry.”

“Liverpool FC will once again use digital ticketing for all fans to access the stadium for the final, which was successfully used for the 2024 final.

Please note that these digital tickets are not NFC but will still sit in the digital wallet of supporters’ smartphones.

“This year, the digital tickets will be added to supporters’ ticketing accounts and will be available to download from ‘My Account’ in the week leading up to the game.

If any supporter is offered tickets or is aware of tickets being offered for sale, they can report this anonymously here.

“All reports of ticket touting or online ticket fraud will be investigated in line with the Liverpool FC sanctions process?

If a supporter has been found to have offered a ticket for sale online, this could result in a lifetime ban for that individual.”

The club also stated the efforts it has made in combating ticketing fraud, revealing it has issued several lifetime bans to defaulters.

“Last season alone, LFC shut down almost 100,000 fake ticketing accounts while issuing 75 lifetime bans and 136 indefinite suspensions,” the statement added.

“This season, the club has continued to increase its investment in anti-touting measures following an increase in the number of fans being defrauded, particularly online.”
