Liverpool have confirmed that Alisson Becker has left the Brazil squad to return back to Merseyside after the No.1 goalkeeper suffered a possible head injury.
Alisson was part of Dorvial Junior's squad for their World Cup qualifiers against Colombia and Argentina during March's international break.
It was Thursday night that Brazil met Colombia in their first World Cup qualifier, where Alisson was substituted in the second half, after colliding with former Tottenham Hotspur defender Davinson Sanchez.
Alisson was replaced by Bento of Al Nassr in the 78th minute as Brazil claimed a 2-1 win in Brasilia.
A Brazil team doctor stated after the game that Alisson had suffered a "suspected concussion" as a result of the collision.
He will undergo assessment from the Reds' medical staff."
Brazil's team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar provided a full update on Alisson's condition after the Liverpool goalkeeper was substituted in the win over Colombia.
Lasmar confirmed that Alisson had suffered a head injury, with further tests needing to be carried out.
"Alisson suffered a trauma to the head region, he was replaced by a suspected concussion," said Lasmar - via CNN Brazil.
