Liverpool are reportedly adamant that they will not sell academy product Jarell Quansah this summer despite links with a transfer to Newcastle United.
Last summer, the 22-year-old was linked with a move to St James' Park while Eddie Howe's men struggled with the possibility of failing the Premier League's Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules.
Anthony Gordon was proposed to move to the Reds with Liverpool allowing Quansah to join Newcastle to sweeten the deal.
The centre-back was then swapped out for Joe Gomez before the Magpies eventually managed to save themselves by selling some of their academy players.
Since then, Quansah has managed to become a favourite at Anfield with Arne Slot and has been used more frequently off the bench in recent months.
Reports linking him to Newcastle still persist as Howe looks to strengthen his defence again this summer.

But, according to The Athletic, Liverpool are adamant that they will not sell the defender.
Quansah is thought to be a big part of the Reds' plans for next season and considering the uncertainty surrounding Virgil van Dijk's future, as well as that of Gomez and Ibrahima Konate, there is no way that the club would want to entertain offers for him.
It is also stated that no club has come in for Quansah since last summer and Slot is perfectly happy for that to remain the case.
Meanwhile, Gordon also looks to be a move that is in the past too.
