Manchester City are reportedly confident that they will avoid any sort of punishment involving transfer bans or financial penalties as a result of their case into 115 alleged breaches of the Premier League's financial rules.
Liverpool's rivals await an 'imminent' verdict on a matter they have strongly protested their innocence for over two years.
Man City were charged with over 115 counts of financial wrongdoing dated between 2009 and 2018, with the charges now levelled 26 months ago.
A hearing was only able to take place between September and December 2024, now it is up to an independent panel to review each and every single charge to decide the ultimate fate of the Premier League champions.
As the months pass this has become described as arriving 'imminently'.
He will supposedly be doing this alongside replacement Hugo Viana to ensure a smooth transition of power.

A points deduction, especially, would be the verdict Man City would be hoping to avoid, as that would be the one that could threaten them with relegation from the English top-flight.
Most recently it has been suggested that lawyers for Premier League clubs will be 'rubbing their hands' at the prospect of taking legal action against Man City if they are found guilty, which again they have always denied.
