According to reports, Liverpool are about to turn away from a deal for a young winger for one reason.
The Reds have been named as one of the sides credited with an interest in Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens.
While there were reports last week that the youngster wants to leave the club in the summer, the soon to be Premier League champions now look set to be moving away from any kind of potential deal.
Although, it was reported that Dortmund were preparing for the departure of the 20-year-old, they might need to get other suitors for the young forward.

Liverpool currently consider the price tag for Jamie Gittens as too much, which would see a deal for him off the table.
AnythingLFC on X reports,
“Borussia Dortmund’s price tag for Jamie Gittens is seen as too high from a Liverpool perspective – any sort of potential deal is expected to be off for this reason.”
Gittens moved to the German club from Manchester City in 2020 and has gone on to make over 100 appearances for the club while returning 17 goals and 14 assists.
BVB valued Gittens at £82.7 million in January, but they were prepared to reduce their asking price to compensate for potentially missing out on European football next campaign.
The Reds will now be forced to look elsewhere in their search for more attacking options, as it is one of the areas they need to strengthen in the summer.
Should Liverpool overhaul their forward line in the summer, with Darwin Nunez touted to go and Luis Diaz receiving interest from FC Barcelona, they will need an injection of new talent as Slot works on getting the squad refined to his taste.
