The FA could reprimand Liverpool and one of the club’s players for his actions during the win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Liverpool won their second Premier League title in history at the weekend as they came from a goal down to beat Ange Postecoglou’s side in front of a raucous crowd at Anfield.

The Reds needed just a point to make sure the league was theirs this season.

But they produced one of their best performances this season to take home the maximum points from the encounter, scoring five times to take their goal tally in the league this season to 80.

Luis Diaz was the first to score for the Reds, with the Colombian’s strike restoring parity after former Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke had given Spurs the lead.

Alexis  Mac Allister scored the second, with the Argentina midfielder unleashing a thunderous left-footed shot after receiving the pass from Ryan Gravenberch outside the area.

Cody Gakpo scored Liverpool’s third, with a fine-taken goal from inside the box.

His goal completed the comeback and handed Liverpool the advantage going into the break.

After the first half, a Mohamed Salah strike and an own goal from Destiny Udogie completed Liverpool’s win.

However, it appears Gakpo has landed himself in trouble with the FA following his celebrations for his goal on Sunday.

Shortly after scoring on Sunday, Gakpo lifted his jersey to reveal the religious slogan “I belong to Jesus.”

Gakpo’s goal celebration was reminiscent of that of Kaka in 2007.

The Brazilian forward who revealed the same slogan under his AC Milan jersey when the Italian side beat Liverpool in the 2007 Champions League final in Athens.

Although Gakpo was shown a yellow card for removing his jersey, The Telegraph reports that he could face further action over the slogan on his sleeveless shirt.

The FA kit rules forbid footballers from “displaying religious statements or slogans during matches.”

Law 4 of the International Football Association Board’s Laws of the Game states: “Equipment must not have any political, religious or personal slogans, statements or images?

Players must not reveal undergarments that show political, religious, personal slogans, statements or images, or advertising other than the manufacturer’s logo.
