Liverpool’s Federico Chiesa could still receive a Premier League winner’s medal, despite having made just four league appearances this season.
The Italian international was Arne Slot’s only major signing last summer, arriving from Juventus for a modest £12.5 million in the final days of the transfer window.
However, after initially struggling to adapt to the pace and intensity of English football, as well as struggling with injury, Chiesa has been afforded limited opportunities under the Dutchman.
The majority of his 12 appearances in a Liverpool shirt have come in domestic and European cup competitions, with only four outings in the Premier League so far - all of which have come from the bench.

Chiesa has been left out of a Premier League matchday squad by Slot on 15 occasions this season, although eight of those absences were due to injury.
Even so, his omission from Sunday’s victory over Leicester City only adds weight to the belief that he may not be part of the head coach's long-term plans.
Speculation has grown in recent weeks over whether Chiesa will be awarded a Premier League winner’s medal should Liverpool go on to secure the title.
Following Sunday’s triumph at the King Power Stadium, they now sit just three points away from glory.
Under Premier League rules, players who make five or more appearances in a title-winning season are guaranteed a medal.
However, clubs are given 40 commemorative medals in total, which they may distribute to players, staff, and coaches as they see fit.
In the 2019/20 title-winning campaign, for instance, Harvey Elliott, who made just two league appearances, was still awarded one of the additional medals.
Notably, Chiesa is currently just one appearance short of the five-match threshold.
Only 21 players currently have five or more Premier League appearances to their name this season, with Chiesa (4) and Vitezslav Jaros (1) the only two to have featured, but fewer than five times.
