Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister revealed the old guard at Anfield are desperate for an open top bus parade to celebrate winning the Premier League - something Jurgen Klopp was never able to do.

But with memories of the 2020 Premier League title triumph, which forced Liverpool to lift the title in an empty stadium as a result of Coronavirus restrictions, still fresh, players who were under Klopp's guidance have not forgotten that campaign.



The lack of celebrations in Liverpool is still on the mind of Liverpool players.

Mac Allister, in an interview with Telemundo Deportes, said: "We have talked about it with players who have been in the team for longer and lived that.

Hopefully, we can win it this year and celebrate it with our people.

While Slot is now in charge at Anfield, Klopp did recently hint he would attend any open top bus parade, should the current Liverpool crop get over the line.

When asked if he would return to Liverpool for any title celebrations, Klopp said: "Yes.

"The plan is (to be in Liverpool) but not on the bus.
