Jarrell Quansah has hinted he could start for Liverpool against Aston Villa after replacing Ibrahima Konate at half-time of the weekend's win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Arne Slot substituted the France international for fear of the player receiving a second yellow card.
Konate's first foul of the game resulted in a booking after pulling back Matheus Cunha.
The defender avoided a second yellow card as a late challenge on the same player before the break went unpunished.
Quansah then came on for Konate after the interval and impressed, particularly with a last-gasp block to prevent Wolves from potentially equalising.

It was roles reversed from the season's opening match when Slot hooked Quansah for Konate at half-time away to Ipswich Town.
The 22-year-old has not started a Premier League match in central defence since then but has featured in three of the team's last four games across all competitions.
Before what could be the fourth in five, Quansah shared a matchday graphic as a post on his Instagram story on Wednesday morning.
Doing so usually suggests the player's involvement in the matchday squad.
However, it is not always a guarantee that they will start a game.
Quansah did likewise before the Merseyside derby and remained an unused substitute at Goodison Park.
Alexis Mac Allister scored Liverpool's equaliser in that 2-2 draw with Everton and regularly shares such posts before matches, noting the time games kick off in his native Argentina.
The midfielder did so again on Tuesday night for the Villa game.
Liverpool's official social media accounts also share matchday posts on the morning of a game.
Their graphic before the Villa match features photos of Alisson, Luis Diaz, Mac Allister, Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk.
