Liverpool has decided to loan out 21-year-old defender James Norris to League of Ireland team Shelbourne for the rest of the season.
The young left-back has had a couple of showings for Liverpool's first team but has seen more action in Premier League 2 during this campaign with 10 appearances.
Norris will be under the tutelage of ex-Chelsea and Newcastle United winger Damien Duff in Ireland.
Duff, who bagged himself two Premier League titles during his playing days, took the helm at Shelbourne in November 2021, having previously worked as an assistant manager at both Celtic and the Republic of Ireland national team.
A product of Liverpool's youth system, Norris has been with the club since he was nine and has slowly climbed the ranks.
He also stepped onto the pitch for one minute in Liverpool's 4-1 FA Cup third-round romp over Shrewsbury at the start of 2022.
Last season, Norris plied his trade on loan with Tranmere Rovers in League Two.
James Norris was among six Liverpool youngsters called up for training ahead of the Champions League clash with Girona.

Meanwhile, Shelbourne is off to a flying start in the League of Ireland Premier Division, kicking off the new campaign with a solid 3-1 victory over Derry City
