According to The Newcastle Chronicle, it will cost Newcastle United, or any other suitor, a total of £40m to land Harvey Elliott's signature this summer.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a move away from Liverpool after struggling for regular game time since Arne Slot replaced Jurgen Klopp last summer.

In fact, Elliott hasn't started a single Premier League game this season.

He has played just 618 minutes of first-team football across all competitions, scoring four goals and claiming two assists.

And the Magpies have since been notified that it will take £40m to prise Elliott away from Anfield in the summer transfer window.
